Adventures at Tibidabo-March 27, 2010

Yesterday, Molly, Rachel, and I went to Tibidabo which is an amusement park on top of a mountain that overlooks Barcelona.  It was built in 1897 and is every child’s dream.  There is a cathedral at the very top decorated with mosaic tiles on the interior.  We did not actually go in the big park because it costs 25 euro, but just did the ferris wheel which gave one a panorama of the entire city.  It was such a clear day, so the view was absolutely amazing.  We took a picnic lunch to eat at Tibidabo, and of course got some cotton candy!  It only took about thirty minutes to get from the center of Barcelona to Tibidabo.  You can take a trolly from Plaza de John Kennedy, then a funicular to the very top.  We had a blast reliving our childhood dreams.
